Montage really likes Lace! She sees a lot of herself in her, both in her position as high nobility that has obviously taken some sort of direct role for the welfare of her realm, but also in her personality, which is earnest and refined. She admires how selfless and courageous, and so very responsible Lace seems, especially for her young age. She even feels like Lace probably has more pure intentions than Montage does herself, though she tries to be high-minded.
She'd definitely like to learn more about her, and interact more regularly. She wants to see her succeed at whatever it is she's trying to accomplish at home!
Montage likes Star, though is maybe a bit confused by her personality. Namely how frivolous and playful it is, especially given the circumstances. No matter how awful things get, Star just rebounds very quickly, which Montage thinks is sort of a good thing but also really confusing, because this is a pretty stressful place, after all? She sort of wishes Star could take things more seriously at times. One her daughters is also sort of a mischievous little shit, but she's a lot more grounded, so the dissonance is a bit weird. But Star is also older than her, so she doesn't consciously compare the two.
Again, though, Montage likes her, and would like to spend more time with her, and maybe even learn about the weird spiritual resonance that she seems to have!
Montage admittedly doesn't know Amber extremely well, but she likes what she does know about him. He's small and precious and pings her mom senses. If she knew about his dad she'd want to punch him. He does strike her as the sort that could get into trouble, so she feels she should probably look out after him. Still, his enthusiasm is really infectious, and she can't help but smile when he's around.
